Fantastic Pictures - Skywalk at Grand Canyon WestThe glass balcony overhanging Grand Canyon opened in 2006. 1) Skywalk at Grand Canyon WestGuy would love to make the Skywalk and savour the view. Will is not so sure.
Skywalk at Grand CanyonThe Skywalk is situated on the Hualapai Indian Reservation at a new resort called Grand Canyon West. Over 100 visitors can use the glass observatory at any one time. The glass bottom overhangs the canyon by about 65 feet. Needless to say, the vista is breathtaking. At this point there is a 4,000 ft drop to the Colorado River below. Part of the design brief is to withstand an earthquake and 100 mile an hour winds. `2) Brave Photographer - Pictures of Grand CanyonHere we have one photographer photographing another photographer at work. Hans van de Vorst took the the following pictures at the Grand Canyon, Arizona. Unfortunately, we don't know the name of the brave photographer in the pictures below. Here is Hans own account of the incident.
I was simply stunned seeing this guy standing on this solitary rock in the Grand Canyon. Watching this guy on his thong sandals, with a camera and a tripod I asked myself 3 questions: 1. How did he climb that rock?
After the sun set behind the canyon's horizon he packed his things (leaving only one hand
available) After that, he jumped on his thong sandals... Now you can see that the adjacent rock is higher so he tried to land lower, which is quite steep
